The Head of the BPS, Rusman Heriawan, said arrivals for July 2008 hit 567,400. This represents a 7.24% increase over the 514,600 who visited Indonesia in July 2007.
Nationwide average hotel occupancies at starred properties in Indonesia's main 14 tourism destinations averaged 52.37%, an improvement of 1.54% compared to the 50.83% average occupancy recorded nation-wide in May 2008. Meanwhile in Bali the average occupancy at starred hotels for May hit 61.96% increasing to 67.90% in June.
The average length of stay at starred hotels in the 14 main tourism destinations nationwide averaged 2.06 days in June.
Nation Tourism Arrivals Up 11.43%
