Old steam train joined the batik parade
Solo town or sometimes well known as Surakarta town arises its creativity by presenting old steam train dated 1812.
Its presence at held in Solo town in 3 october 2009.
For sure the presence attracted people who visited the batik parade.
This parade was held in celebrating that batik had been declared by UNESCO as the Indonesian world heritage.
The train followed the track in Jalan Slamet Riyade street which is the center town.
For tourist who were in Solo (during their travelling in Indonesia), this event was interesting.
Beside mostly in Indonesia train goes out of the town, but in Solo the track is in the town side by side with main road.
What more intersting is the train was made in Germany dated 1812.
Beside this parade, in this fiest, the Surakarta government, presented batik fashion show on the street.
People of Indonesia are happy to hear about the declaration from UNESCO about batik, since it is one of the pride clothe of Indonesia.
